CAFFE ALDO LAMBERTI DONATED $7,000 TO AUTISM SPEAKS - GREATER DELAWARE VALLEY CHAPTER

During the month of December, Caffe Aldo Lamberti raised money through a raffle to benefit Autism Speaks - Greater Delaware Valley Chapter. We donated $7,000.00 to the charity. On Saturday, January 14th, Aldo Lamberti made a formal presentation to Christina Carty, Executive Director of Autism Speaks - Greater Delaware Valley Chapter with an oversized check for that amount. Also present were Kelly Gavin, the Walk/Events Coordinator for Autism Speaks - Greater Delaware Valley Chapter and Steve Burch, Communications Manager of Autism Speaks - Greater Delaware Valley Chapter. Raffle winner this year was Tim Fox, of Fox Rehabilitation in Cherry Hill, NJ, who was also present.

On a recent afternoon, in the wine cellar of Caffe Aldo Lamberti in Cherry Hill, a scene unfolded which would have given great delight to every adult who hopes to never have another meal torpedoed by unmannerly kids.
Seated around a table, dressed in what adults might call "business casual" were children who ranged in age from 7 to 13, all of them also decked out in hats, jewelry and other grown-up props supplied by a soft-spoken woman with the manner of a caring friend.
That woman, Hilary Brennan, has launched Socially Savvy, a company dedicated to civility not just for adults, but also for children. And on this afternoon, her mission was simple: She was hoping to show the children who were in her tutelage for two short hours that manners can actually be fun in a class called Dynamic Dining: Hip Etiquette for Boys and Girls.
